February Project Chronicles

February has been an extraordinary month for our Cultural Superstars eTwinning project. With a dedicated collaboration between 3 countries and 10 partner schools, our students have been busy weaving a vibrant tapestry of cultural heritage and digital safety.

1. A Heartfelt First "Hello": Online Student Meeting

On February 17, we ignited the spark of international friendship! Students from our 10 partner schools, including our teammates from Romania, gathered via TwinSpace for our first official online introduction.

The Erasmus+ Connection: This meeting carried a special significance as our Romanian partners are preparing to visit Türkiye on March 30 for their Erasmus+ mobility. It was the perfect "ice-breaker" to build real-world bonds and warm friendships before meeting face-to-face.

2. eSafety Superstars: Mastering the Digital World

In honor of Safer Internet Day, our "Superstars" proved they are as savvy as they are creative. Following interactive presentations on digital citizenship, students engaged in the "eSafety Match Up Challenge" via Wordwall.

  • The Goal: Mastering digital security terminology in English.

  • The Result: Developing rapid decision-making skills to navigate online risks ethically and safely.

3. Digital Ambassadors: Designing for Safety

Our students transitioned from theory to action by becoming Digital Safety Ambassadors. Using Canva, they designed professional e-safety brochures filled with critical tips, security rules, and conscious technology slogans like "Stay Safe, Use Wisely!" These brochures are now being showcased across our project’s digital boards.

4. "Every Culture is a Treasure": Collaborative Acrostic Poem

Unity was the theme of our massive collaborative poetry event. Using a shared Google Doc, students from all 3 countries co-wrote a giant acrostic poem based on our project motto:

"EVERY CULTURE IS A TREASURE, EVERY FRIEND IS A GIFT"

This activity beautifully demonstrated how different voices can harmonize to create a single message of respect, kindness, and global brotherhood.

5. The Alphabet Adventure: Our Collaborative Digital Book

The highlight of the month was the launch of our "Cultural Superstars: Alphabet Adventure" on the Book Creator platform.

  • The Mission: Each letter of the alphabet represents a different cultural value from our partner countries.

  • The Content: Students enriched their assigned pages with English texts, original illustrations, and their own voice recordings.

This digital masterpiece is not just a book; it is a bridge that allows our students to use English as a living language while discovering the hidden gems of their partners' traditions.

February has proven that when 10 schools work with one heart, borders disappear. We are incredibly proud of our students for being both guardians of the past and leaders of the digital future.
